Last weekend whilst I was in London I popped by Revlon's 'EnamouRED' exhibition in the underground depths of the London Film Museum in Covent Garden.
The exhibition was a celebration of Revlon's 80th Anniversary highlighting its history and featuring their ad campaigns over the decades whilst also commissioning some interesting art.
It was really fun walking around and seeing their vintage lipstick cases, old nail polish bottle displays, magazine adverts and they even had TV screens showing old school TV ads from the 60s/70s. I really couldn't help but admire the glamorous beauty of Revlon's marketing.
This huge bottle is made of 2500 regular bottles of Revlon Polish |
A couple weeks before the exhibition Revlon asked people on Twitter to post a photo of their lips on Instagram so I posted one of me wearing their Lip Butter in Peach Parfait and when I went to the event I noticed they had turned the photo's in lots of collages! And guess what...mine was there too!! Mine lips are the ones on the top right hand side...I couldn't believe it when I saw my pouty chops up there! I actually wanted to jump with joy but I had to contain myself in front of all the cool people lol
I have a couple more posts on my London adventure coming up, I hope you will enjoy them!

ReplyDeletehaha yeah its so weird to think that! lol. I seriously wanted to jump up and shout out 'those are my lips!!' but I think I might have been arrested lol
DeleteHahaha people would've been looking at you like you're crazy lol
Deletewow, totally enjoyed this post :D. Really like the vintage design of the lipsticks in the pic you showed. They should bring that back! At first I thought its Lancome love lipstick but now I know how they got the idea of the lipstick design. So classy and elegant how our senior female members used to be when they were young in their times :D.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree! the packaging looked so elegant back then! It kinda makes me want to save some of my favourite lipsticks to reminisce about them one day (yeah I'm sentimental like that lol) but most lippies look pretty boring in comparison to these old vintage tubes lol
DeleteOh my gosh this looks incredible, wish I'd known about this! How fab your pout made it up there! :D Fab post hun!
ReplyDeleteAysh xoxo
Lol it was so cool to see my smackers up there lol!
