My first Sasa.com Haul!!

Friday, 11 May 2012

When B from CrazyPopLock sent me her Love Package I instantly fell in love with the Sheet masks! She told me she bought them from Sasa.com and thats when my crazy lil obession with this Hong Kong based website and Asian skincare began! There are literally thousands of products including skincare, makeup, haircare, health supplements and much more with lots of Korean, Taiwanese and Chinese brands as well as high end like Clinique, Lancome, Elisabeth Arden ect.

It was so fun browsing through all the products and seeing all the different things we dont get here in the UK. A few days later I got an email from Sasa offering me free delivery over $29 (normally $75)...it was like the stars aligned themselves for me lol!! So of course I had to buy something!! Being a little bit clueless about Asian skincare and brands I just decided to pick some items which we dont get here in the UK, I later found out after watching looooads of Sasa hauls on youTube, discovering BubzBeauty channel and chatting to the lovely Jacq from Beauty Sketch (skincare guru extraordinaire) that by some fluke I did actually pick some good products! Yay!

I ordered my items on 30th April and they arrived yesterday on 10th May so it took less then 2 weeks to arrive which is not bad at all BUT I only picked my box up today because even though my order was not that big (only $36) crappy UK customs charged me £12.52 extra when it got here!! Booooo!! Apparently because the value of the goods was over £15 and came from outside the EU I was charged 20% VAT (tax) plus a standard £8 Royal Mail admin fee. I was sooooo not impressed!! But as least I know to be more careful in the future. Have you ever been charged for goods coming into the UK from Sasa or other countries?

Anyways aside from that I was still super excited...here's what I got...

So thats everything I got! I cant wait try these all out!!! Especially the water pack and the toner...who am I kidding...I'm crazy excited about every single thing!! lol!

I've even started putting together a wishlist for my next order! When I tweeted about placing my order on Sasa I had a lovely chat with Sam from Sam Ram Beauty who told me that they sell Estee Lauder and Lancome sample lipsticks from only $3 ~ £1.90!! How the hell did I miss that before?!  So yeah... definitely want to get that next time along with some Tsubaki haircare products.

Have you tried any of these? Can you recommend any other products from Sasa?

Boxing Day Boots.com Haul

Sunday, 1 January 2012

Here in the UK the day after Christmas is called Boxing Day (don't ask me why) and this is the day when the biggest sale of the year starts (kinda like Black Friday in the US). Its a crazy shopping day...people wake up super early and queue for entry into the best stores so that they can grab the best bargains. In fact this year someone even died on Oxford Street, London during the Boxing Day sales (click here for more info)! In order to avoid the stress and the crazy rush of bargain hunters I decided to do my Boxing Day shopping online instead and it was one of the best decisions ever!!

Boots is one of of my favourite shops and at Christmas they always have lots of lovely bath and body gifts and when is comes to Boxing day they reduce most gifts down to 50%. As my mum is going to India in a couple weeks and we needed to buy gifts for all our fam over there I decided to take advantage of the sale and bought a bunch of things. All the things below are going to be given to my cousins and aunts in India so I didnt open all the boxes...

French Connection Eyeshadow Palette

Champneys Gift Sets for Aunts

Trevor Sorbie for my cousin

Armani Diamonds for Women for my cousins wife

Armani Diamonds for Men for my cousin
I couldnt resist getting a little for myself too...

mmm I love Champneys :-)
