NOTD Elegant Glam

Hiya! I'm really loving this particular nail combo that I've been wearing recently so I thought I would share it with you! Its two coats of ELF's 'Innocent' and one of 'Glitter Glam'. I love the tiny shimmery particles in Glitter Glam, they shine so beautifully and make any polish look stunning!

My fish!!  I got my fish tank tank (Fluval Edge) about 6 months ago. I've always loved fish and think they are just soo beautiful so when I moved back home I decided I really wanted one!! And I also think fish tanks are a really pretty feature to a home. I've got 5 fish in there right now...

Traditional English Sunday Lunch...

Sunday lunch is an age old tradition - meat, yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast potatoes, carrots and some greens for good measure.

I met up with a friend today at my favourite pub in my home town called The Dun Cow in Rugby and had the most amazing Sunday lunch of my life! I hadn't been there for a while so was really looking forward to it...I already knew the food here was good but this Sunday lunch was another level!!  I had the lamb shank which was just so incredibly beautiful..I'm talking fall of the bone tender! And the gravy sauce packed a huge punch of flavour! I'm used to spices and lots of flavour but this gravy was something else..it was outta this world! lol

I'm so gutted though because they had a gorgeous roaring fire inside which in my haste to get back home, I forgot to take a photo off! Oh well, I will just have to go back again soon to take one lol!

I have a confession to make...

My name is Cherry Lane and I am a tellyaddict. There I said it...phew!! I feel so much better for getting that out there! I am crazy addicted to American TV shows and proud of it!! lol I have a whole list of shows I watch every week but to share with you my journey to addict...this is part one of my story...

It started gradually...a few episodes of Sex in the City and Desperate Housewives...we've all been there right?

Then in my old flat we got a Sky+ Box (DVR) so I could record any show I wanted and watch it whenever I felt like. I began to record entire seasons of Grey's Anatomy and Gossip Girl. I used to live a very hectic and busy life but every now and again I would get a free Sunday and spent it catching up on all the Greys and GG I had saved up.

Then came the show that changed my life (ok that might be abit of an exaggeration)..GLEE!! The music! The way they revived old songs and put a fresh spin on new ones....the mashups! I just love watching musicals in the West End and Glee was like watching a musical and funny show combined! I fell in love with the insane characters like Sue Sylvester and watching in anticipation to see which crazy out Kurt was wearing this week and Mercedes friggin AMAZING voice! I would drive my Italian housemate crazy because he didnt couldnt quite understand all the american jokes in the show and with my Sky+ remote I would keep rewinding my favourite songs over and over again! I'm sure you've probably already heard Glee's version of Journey's Dont Stop Beleiving as it become friggin huge! But here a few others from season one that got me hooked....

This is the moment I fell in love with Mercedes...

I'm a sucker for a love song so I had to include this....Its just so beautiful I became soooo crazy obssesed with it!

Calling Ladies of Mumbai and Surat!! I need your help!!

First of all a huuuge sorry to those people who are gona be bored by this post cos I know its not going to appeal to everyone!!

So, you might have read that my mum is going to India in...eeek just a week - 10th Jan! She's only going to be there for 10 days and will be spending 2 days in Mumbai and the rest in Gujarat. Just in case your wondering my family come from a small village near Bardoli in Gujarat.

So while she is there she also needs to do a little shopping for my cousin's wedding...we need to buy about 50 gifts for around Rs100 each to give out to guests during one of the functions. Obviously I want something really awesome and not just a lame steel nu cup lol! This is where I need your help!! Have your seen any fun wedding gifts in Mumbai, Surat or Bardoli? Because my mum doesnt have much time I wanted to do a little research myself before she leaves and so I wanted to ask you...my lovely blog friends... Do you guy know any good shops that my mum can check out while she's there?

To give you an idea of the kind of thing I'm looking for...this is a gift that was given out at my friend's wedding. Its a Ganesh wall hanging and I just love it so much! It's really original, has a modern edge, so pretty and very usable. My friend said that she got them from a store on 'Gift Galli' near Crawford Market in Mumbai...have you heard of this street? Do you know any specific store which are good?  Any suggestions and ideas would be sooo appreciated!!

Also just a kinda add on....any unique wrapping suggestions for these gifts? oh and I need to make a basket type thing for some sari's too. Any idea's photos, inspirations would be hugely appreciated!! Please post links and feel free to email me photo's.  This is the first time I have actually had to do this myself and I really want it to be kick ass and stand out!

My Heart Skip Skips A Beat

Ok, so I know this song has been around for quite a while in the UK but Im just so in love with this Olly Murs track I still cant get out of my head!! I love this live version cos he gives such a fun performance and you can really hear his natural voice. My fav bit is at the start when he 'skip''s down low lol

Beauty Box Heaven

The concept of the Beauty Box is pretty cool...getting a lovely surprise box of goodies to try each month for around £10 sounds so fun! I've only just heard about beauty boxes (I know..where have I been right?) and have been a bit scared in case I didn't like the products so I have just been looking at what others have been getting ..well that was until now!! I am always on the lookout for a bargain and when I saw this amazing deal I just had to get it! 'Latest in Beauty' have a box where they tell you on the website what your will get which takes the doubt out of what you will receive and when I saw the contents I just had to get it!! A 15ml Clarins Multi-Active Day Wrinkle Correction Cream as well as four other goodies for just £4.95!

The other samples included in the box are:

* Bastiste Dry Shampoo - 50ml can
* Balance Me Hydrating Rose Otto & Shea Butter Salve - full sized 15ml tube
* Nivea for Men Q10 Revitalising Gel - 15ml tube
* Dr. Organic Rose Otto Skin Lotion - 5ml sachet

All of which are worth around £26 in total.

I havent tried all the products yet but I test a tiny bit of the lip salve and it is sooo lovely! Its made of completely natural ingredients and has a really gorgeous and unusual glossy look whilst being incredible moisturising.

Latest in Style also quite unique concept where you can select three sample products of your choice for £1 which gets charged to your mobile phone bill. Basically you have to text/sms a number which gets charged at £1 plus standard text cost then you are sent a link which you complete all your details and the goods are sent out to you free of charge in a letter box friendly package. Such a great idea!

Boxing Day Boots.com Haul

Here in the UK the day after Christmas is called Boxing Day (don't ask me why) and this is the day when the biggest sale of the year starts (kinda like Black Friday in the US). Its a crazy shopping day...people wake up super early and queue for entry into the best stores so that they can grab the best bargains. In fact this year someone even died on Oxford Street, London during the Boxing Day sales (click here for more info)! In order to avoid the stress and the crazy rush of bargain hunters I decided to do my Boxing Day shopping online instead and it was one of the best decisions ever!!

Boots is one of of my favourite shops and at Christmas they always have lots of lovely bath and body gifts and when is comes to Boxing day they reduce most gifts down to 50%. As my mum is going to India in a couple weeks and we needed to buy gifts for all our fam over there I decided to take advantage of the sale and bought a bunch of things. All the things below are going to be given to my cousins and aunts in India so I didnt open all the boxes...
